Title : Now Habit: A Strategic Program for Overcoming Procrastination and Enjoying Guilt-free Play
Author : Neil A. Fiore
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : A top book on procrastination
Once in a while a book comes along that makes perfect sense. This is a book written by someone who is extremely wise on this subject. A sage-like quality about it. No surprise that Neil has studied this subject for years. The quality in this book shows.
Nearly all the books I've read have failed in their mission to get the reader motivated.
This book is different. Everyone is unique and everyone has their own entry points. For me I loved the idea of designing one's day around what one really enjoys, leisure, hobbies, exercise etc. Then peppered around this one build's half hour slots of time to do some work towards one's goal.
This book builds on the ideas given. Not neccessarily in chronological order. More a 3D model. A layer that also really clicked for me was that instead of focusing on finishing this task, project, goal one has a series of starts. One Starts towards the goal for 30 minutes. Then after this a reward, some fun in life. Then back to the next 30 minute session.
What's reccommended is to take a 2 minute pre-project focus to get the mind in the right vibration(my word) before beginning.
Procrastinating uses up valuable energy. It's a protection of sorts, but it takes energy to procrastinate. The stories of clients in the book makes one feel that this is more common that we tend to think. Some suffer more than others. For me it's been around for 75% of my life and got worse over the last few years.
Having taken voluntary redundancy last November, I thought starting a new career was a simple affair with all this time available. It wasn't time, it was an out of control procrastination junkie. However, it's not always so obvious. In Barbara De Angelis's book Confidence, she speaks of 3 types of confidence, behavioral, spiritual and emotional. In my view if you've got procrastiation as the savior of your pain, you will most assurely lack behavioral confidence in yourself.
This will be money so well spent. It's like having an expert right in your hands, helping you every step of the way.
For me I realised that I wasn't living a life of fun, I was still waiting for something to happen before my life begun.

Title : Self-esteem Affirmations: Motivational Affirmations for Building Confidence and Recognizing Self-worth
Author : Louise L. Hay
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : well done
The subliminals are quite good, what I would expect of such a learned author. I tried this CD to see what sort of affirmation to use when feeling less confidant than normal, which isn't very often. I just needed something to bolster me for when dealing with those in authority, and this sure did work, thanks.

Title : Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion
Author : Robert Cialdini
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Brilliant Book! A book you will keep going back to again and again. Worth more than 5 Stars.
I've just finished this book. Wow it was mind blowing!
I'm not going to reiterate all the brilliant reviews made about this book, suffice to say it is a useful guide for going into negotiations and other situations were undue and unfair influence might occur. For example, how to deal with dirty influence tricks or even just pushy salesmen, estate agents or recruitment consultants - you can see the tatics that are being used and side step them or use their tricks against them for your own advantage.
An amazing book. Read it for your own sake.

Title : Getting It Done: How to Lead When You're Not in Charge
Author : Roger Fisher
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Enjoyed it
The book is good and it improved my knowledge. I felt a little was lacking in the implementation aspects of leadership skills. I also read a book that would fill this gap and I recommend it....."The Leader's Guide: 15 Essential Skills."

Title : You Can Heal Your Life
Author : Louise L. Hay
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Powerful
This book is a powerful key to understanding the roots of our physical diseases and discomforts. It really helps you to find your way in life, just like " The Ultimate Guide To Cosmic Ordering, Empower Your Destiny: Take Control of Your Life" by Andronicos Andronicou. It explains how our emotions effect our happiness and how our happiness effects our health.

Title : Goals! How to Get Everything You Want - Faster Than You Ever Thought Possible
Author : Brian Tracy
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : ..........and Finally
....at last I really do think I've found the book I've been looking for if you're reading this thinking will "this one" help "me" achieve my aims at getting my life on the move to becoming successful - then I say unequivocally - YES!!, this is the one for you.
I've read hundreds of so-called self-help books both modern old and Brian Tracy's "Goals" sums up ALL of the books I've ever read on the subject. It's like a hundred books all in one covering everything from Motivation, Confidence, Time Management, Self Belief Worth oh yes how to set realistic achievable Goals!
The beauty with all of these requisites for success is that we all have these qualities to one degree or another Brian inspires us by telling us that any one of these attributes is "learnable". So no matter where you find yourself today on what "may appear" to be a long road, you can start straight away.
This ought to be the very last book you buy on the subject, but before you read ( more importantly re-read) it, make sure you have a fresh note-book (preferably A4) scribe to hand. The book is jam packed with all the essential information to kick you off in the right direction the minute you start reading. If you feel you really must do some more research then there is an extensive bibliography at the back.
The book ends with a summery of the 21 successful tips in setting achieving these goals. Also there is a summery to be found at the end of each chapter for easy future reference.
Written in a modern, clear, interesting, easy readable style language. It's broken down into easily digestible chunks in such a way that makes you want to read a little bit more. You never stop learning it's never too late to start [something new].
Don't be put off or judge the book by the BOLD but plain looking unattractive cover. It's Brian's message that counts he very cleverly uses famous quotes from the Greats of the past.

Title : It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be
Author : Paul Arden
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : MUST HAVE
I found this book amazing seriously, at the beginning it took me time to grasp the meanings it had, the i realized its one of those books that you are not suppose to be reading it all at once, what i did was i read two or three things a day and grasp it very well and try to motivate my self on doing it and make sure imagining myself doing it so i could remember if i was in such situiation my reaction would fit. really you will understand once you get this book hope you will think of it the same way i did.
