Title : Be Your Own Life Coach: How to Take Control of Your Life and Achieve Your Wildest Dreams
Author : Fiona Harrold
Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : A life-changing book

Fiona's fabulous book has confirmed in my mind that I want to become a life-coach. Her style is easy to read, no-nonsense and very persuasive. She has inspired me to change my attitude on many topics and since I have read the book I have become 100% happier with myself and my life. She makes you realise that,if you're unhappy, the person that is responsible for changing that is YOU. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to do something different in their lives but can't quite muster up the courage to achieve it. I would also highly recommend it to budding life-coaches like myself.

Title : Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised
Author : Napoleon Hill
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : My "desert island" personal development book

I can't remember how long ago I first read this - probably in the early 1980s. This is the book I would keep/take to a desert island if I could only have one.

It's as relevant now as it was when it was first written and my copy is battered, water-damaged, highlighted and anotated and . . . I wouldn't part with it for anything.

"Classic" is an over-used word but it genuinely does apply to this book. Truly wonderful, inspiring and mind-stretching. I come back to this again and again. Get it in any version - I have the book and the audio programme - and use it. I hope you get as much from it at each reading as I do.

Title : Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised
Author : Napoleon Hill
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : What matters is reading on!

I heard of this book in `Rich Dad, Poor Dad' by KIYOSAKI for the first time. I came to realize that this book has been considered as sort of a Bible in terms of getting rich, when I checked the `customer reviews' on the website of Amazon. So I decided to give it a try.

Indeed, this book may be an eye-opener for those who just wish to become rich without thinking twice. However, frankly speaking, the so-called "secrets" as follows in this book are nothing new at all for me and maybe for you as well. Having said that, even you've already known the `secrets', this book will definitely inspire you if you read on page by page. It provides you with an opportunity to converse with yourself, by which you may become a person with deep conviction of getting rich. That's the power of this book.
1) Discipline
2) Dedication/persistence
3) Hardwork/determination
4) Practice practice practice
5) Confidence
6) Ambition along with personality

Again, the `secrets' in this book are simple. What matters to you is the process of reading on.

Title : Getting It Done: How to Lead When You're Not in Charge
Author : Roger Fisher
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Stirring and self-developing book

I read and read this book as an IT professional and really learnt about most of the problems I've been encountering. I hence moved from complaint to contributive proposition and got self-confident in any further action taken since. Moreover, most of the examples produced are common to major enterprises. I am convinced things could be better in some enterprises, had the management read this sort of best-practice-minded book. I have started disseminating the book around me and hope it'll help go ahead solving problems and sharing knowledge. It's clear problems mostly arise due to a lack of managerial culture.
