Title : S.U.M.O. (Shut Up, Move On): The Straight-Talking Guide to Creating and Enjoying a Brilliant Life
Author : Paul McGee
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Does what it says on the tin!
How refreshing to read a 'motivational type' book that doesn't pretend that everything in the garden is rosey but one that takes an honest, humourous and practical look at how to get the most from our lives. The author's openess about his own everyday challenges gives the book an easy to identify with feel, whilst also providing some moments to pause and reflect. I have to say what drew to the book in the first place was it's title... superb!( For once I can read a book on the tube without feeling embarrassed by the title). In summary, it's readable, practical, realistic, humourous and inspirational...AND in the midst of the busy lives and hetic schedules that many of us lead, this won't take an age to read. I look forward to the next offering from the SUMO Guy!

Title : The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change
Author : Stephen R Covey
Rating : 2 Stars out of 5.
Summary : A number of years
I read this book a number of years ago as part of a semester long class with it as the main teaching tool. From what I remember it provides good insights into time management, prioritizing tasks and breaking down a goal into bite size pieces so that a person isn't overwhelmed by the size of what needs to be done.

Title : Making Your Thoughts Work for You
Author : Wayne W. Dyer
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Uplifting and life changing stuff!
I completly recommend this four cd set to anyone and everyone!
I have had phobias and depression for years which have completly ruled my life and have read many self help books and seen many therapists, but listening to this CD set once has completly changed my mindset and outlook on life! Through Dr.Wayne's inspiriational and spiritual talking and Byron Katie's NLP and questioning your thoughts work, I really feel a new beginning in my life has begun! I was left feeling uplifted, calm and confident and I feel now that I can begin to get my life back on track and am very exited about doing so!
The CDs' are recordings of a live seminar where Dr. Wayne is giving a very inspirational talk on balance and living your true life path to thousands of people live, and then later on Byron Katie takes over and gets the audience to fill in some worksheets and gets three stressed and upset people up from the audience, works with them and shows how to realise the problem situation, deal with it and embrace it by realsing the part you are playing in it and then how to change your view of it and how you deal with it. They all left happy, uplifted and relaxed!
Then Dr. Wayne talks some more and they both take questions from the audience.
I thouroughly recommend this to anyone, stressed, anxious, depressed or just wanting to attain some new wisdom.
If you open your mind to it,it can be life changing stuff! :-)

Title : The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens: The Ultimate Teenage Success Guide
Author : Sean Covey
Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Easier to read than original
I've had the original for about 3 years and never got past the third chapter. I dug it out about a month ago with a new steely determination to read it. That is until I spotted Stephen Covey's son Sean's book habits for teens. This was really effortless to read. This really covers the ground of his dad's book but with a more 'young' and 'fun' enthusiasm to it. I've Knocked off a star as it doesn't cover a topic about habits that I believe is the most important point of all about the power of habits. Having said that it certainly does cover a lot of ground and should be read as a great understanding of habits.
