Title : Motivational Interviewing: Preparing People for Change
Author : William R. Miller
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : ...care ... communicate...
I searched the internet for months - looking for books or any kind of teaching aids - that could shine just a tiny ray of light - onto communicating effectively with people who have any kind of addiction problems.
This book is a masterpiece.
With a basis in the teaching and counselling methods of Carl Rogers, taken further into the specialist field of addiction - It describes in such careful detail the most gentle, most understanding - most effective ways to communicate....so that you will learn the most helpful ways - to inspire change, how to discover, and be supportive of the addicted person's smallest inclination to change.
It is not a book about fixing things - controlling anyone - or changing minds ... but about how best to support, encourage and inspire someone you care about - to develop their own decisions.. that may be life saving.
It is a book suitable for professional counsellors - but it is written in a lucid style which is equally comprehensible to any one with an interest in the topic.
Carefully chosen words of encouragement and support - given at the right time - to people whose own insecurity and self doubt may make them aggressive and defensive against all approaches that seem to be attempts to change or guide them.....
...may seem to you, as they did to me - to be impossible to find.
Read this book. It will help you to find them.

Title : Evolve Your Brain: The Science of Changing Your Brain
Author : Joseph Dispenza
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Amazing
This is a great read just for the fun of it, Dispenza's story of self healing a broken back is amazing but without any bull he shows the key elements of others who ahve done this too.
This book also goes into great detail on how the mind brain body work together from mainly a scientific viewpoint and how we can make changes to evlove our frontal lobes to quickly change bad patterns of behaviour replace them with good.
the advice is simple and achieveable by anyone who can read.
Its not a short book as its crammed with lots of information but if you just wish to get to the nitty gritty of making changes its possible to skip the understanding and just work on the bits you need
I hope he will write further books in the future

Title : Screw It, Let's Do It: Lessons in Life (Quick Reads)
Author : Sir Richard Branson
Rating : 2 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Get the full story!
I have read Richard Branson biography, Losing my Virginity only recently and so this book contains nothing new...too bad i bought this one. Although cheap it's not really worth the money i have to admit. Go for his book, Losing my Virginity and you will get your money's worth! I don't understand the marketing strategy, if they even had one with this one!

Title : Think and Grow Rich
Author : Napoleon Hill
Rating : 2 Stars out of 5.
Summary : This edition not the best
I have owned this book for years, but I recently have discovered another, newer version that is far superior. It is "Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised" published by Aventine Press. For one thing it is a bigger book, both in size and in pages (412). It turns out that the book that this review is about is an abridged version of the original, something I never knew in all the times I have read it over the years. This smaller version, while good, contains nothing like the additional information in the "Restored and Revised" version. There is just a ton of fascinating facts and information in the back of the book. In the older book (the plain "Think and Grow Rich"), the print is somewhat difficult to read, there is little space for writing notes. The newer version reads better and by comparison is a far more useful learning instrument. Napoleon Hill's work is probably the most important ever done in the motivational and self-improvement field. Whichever version you read, it will change your life forever.

Title : Never Eat Alone: And Other Secrets to Success, One Relationship at a Time
Author : Keith Ferrazzi
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Worthy every pound!!!!
I read this book during last week of Dec ( christmas break) and was very impressed. In fact, I was so inspired that I made few new year resolutions on the same line as Mr. Keith and I am happy to say that the results are starting to show.
I work in sales and some of the idea picked up from this book have been really useful. The networking action plan is a real gem (as with many things in life simple but very few people implement it).
If you want to buy one good book today, I would recommend you buy this one.

Title : Unleash the Warrior Within: Develop the Focus, Discipline, Confidence and Courage You Need to Achieve Unlimited Goals

Summary : Do it like your going to attack it.
I recommend this book. It is very helpful. Makes decission planning simple and effective. Makes you do what you say you will do. Achieve what you want. All you need is focus and the will. I avoid violence at any cost, but when it comes to business or sport I don't play to come second; Machowicz advice and way is amazing. Get the book, if anything, it is a good motivational read.
