Title : Self-esteem Affirmations: Motivational Affirmations for Building Confidence and Recognizing Self-worth
Author : Louise L. Hay
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : well done
The subliminals are quite good, what I would expect of such a learned author. I tried this CD to see what sort of affirmation to use when feeling less confidant than normal, which isn't very often. I just needed something to bolster me for when dealing with those in authority, and this sure did work, thanks.

Title : The Richest Man in Babylon
Author : George S. Clason
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Every teenager should be given this book at school.
With personal debt at it's highest ever level this book should be given to every child before they leave school and enter into the financial mine field and every adult should buy it. It is so simple to read, no jargon or complicated investment ideas, just good old common sense advice (which isn't common!). The best ever financial book you could buy.

Title : Think and Grow Rich!: The Original Version, Restored and Revised
Author : Napoleon Hill
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : The Version of Think and Grow Rich to Rule Them All!
This is one book I always get something new out of with every subsequent reading, even if I only flip to a random page. All you have to do is decide what you want and like so many have discovered, this book will show you the steps to get it.
Ross Cornwell's version restores chunks of texts removed from the 60's Ballantine paperback ('The Secret' enthusiasts will be pleased with what they'll find). This version also provides extensive endnotes to deepen the understanding and appreciation of Dr. Hill's 20 year research into the science of success. Unlike footnotes in other editions, the endnotes also allow for uninterrupted reading of the main text.
Order multiple copies of this one because it'll wear out from use very quickly and consider any copy you lend out as a gift because I can't imagine there's any way they'll willingly return it back to you.

Title : S.U.M.O. (Shut Up, Move On): The Straight-Talking Guide to Creating and Enjoying a Brilliant Life
Author : Paul McGee
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Great Book with Practical Advice
I just wanted to congratulate you on your SUMO book. It was a great read and by far and away the best in the self help category that I have read recently.
I coach people for a living and read a lot of these types of books and believe that many fail because they are too abstract or too difficult to put into practice. Your book, however, is full of practical things you can do straight away to start to make a difference.
I particularly liked the 'Ditch Doris Day' chapter.

Title : It's Not How Good You Are, It's How Good You Want To Be
Author : Paul Arden
Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Motivational?
This book by Paul Arden has been dubbed by many to be a fantastic motivational book that is capable of turning people into super human geniuses. In reality this book takes only an hour or less to read through and unless you really attempt to apply any new ideas will be a waste of your time.
Much of the book to me was useless and some of it I already knew, however it is still a good book for getting you thinking in another way. Really the author is telling you to throw out everything you think you know and listen to his ideas of what made him successful, and some of the ideas are very good.
I have found a few of the ideas in this book very useful and have used the ideas such as 'Do not seek praise seek criticism' are simple but good. Many people are unable to open up and be wrong and make mistakes and learn from them, especially people in positions such as management who feel they have to be seen as always correct in front of their staff.
This book really is an individual thing, It may be of massive help to you or you may completely disagree with the ideas put forward. Either way you have to look at this book as one mans ideas and decide for yourself whether to apply them or take them onboard in your life. Worth a look at the price being asked for it.

Title : Be Your Own Life Coach: How to Take Control of Your Life and Achieve Your Wildest Dreams
Author : Fiona Harrold
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Life will never be the same again!
Fiona's book is just the inspiration that you need if you are procrastinating over whether or not to take that step into the unknown, - whether it's starting your own business, or going for the promotion you've been working towards.
It is clear from reading this book that Fiona has taken part in motivational courses, such as those held by Tony Robbins. She uses many similar quotes and examples throughout the book. This does not mean that her work is not original however. Fiona's book is a brilliant summary on the subject of self improvement. It is full of enthusiam and stimulus to make the reader think that they can achieve a better life if they are willing to come out of their 'comfort zones.'
This book is the driving force that encouraged me to make several changes in my life and I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing the encouragement or incentive to make that change.

Title : Positive Thinking, Positive Action: Essential Steps to Achieve Your Potential (Personal Development)
Author : Douglas Miller
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Voyage into your new future with confidence
In addition to the other POSITIVE contribution below this book is broken down into nice short easy to digest paragraphs chapters. This book is a no hype no frills book that gets to the point the basics of what it is to be "truly" successful, including many valuable and do-able tips exercises on how to achieve "REAL" success.
It's written in a very clear style, language typeset, the lessons and techniques are easy to read, understand digest, thus allowing one to get through the book without having to wade through pages of American Psychobabble slang. Nor does it languish on the "I knew a man once who bla bla bla ....." typical of most of the ancient PMA (Positive Mental Thinking" books about success positive thinking.
Douglas' reputation credentials must have been quite remarkable to have his book published by the BBC World Learning!
Take yourself out of the of Carnegie, Covey Hill et al dark ages read this modern thoroughly well researched course that will propel you to your own success.
