Title : Now Habit: A Strategic Program for Overcoming Procrastination and Enjoying Guilt-free Play
Author : Neil A. Fiore
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Helps you understand and overcome a crippling habit

I've read hundreds of self-help books, but this blows almost everything else out of the water. This book helped me to understand the reasons why I procrastinate and showed how this habit leads to worry, loss of confidence and chronic underperformance - even in areas that I had not considered to be linked to procrastination. It's like suffering a mysterious illness and feeling that, at last, there is a proper diagnosis and cure. It even shows how the classic shaming and bullying tactics others use to 'spur us on' only serve to fuel the emotions which block natural performance and success. This is now available on audiobook, read by the author. Play it on the way to work and improve your performance!

Title : The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change
Author : Stephen R Covey
Rating : 4 Stars out of 5.
Summary : Might change your life #8211; or sit on the shelf

This is a powerful guide to self-improvement. The "habits" are common-sense: be proactive, or "seek first to understand, then to be understood". The writing is clear, presenting each habit in a way which is easy to apply to oneself. If you're looking for a self-help guide to living a more focused, targeted life, you can hardly do better than this.

The downside is that this is a massive, densely-written book. Just reading it, let alone internalising and acting on it, is a major project. Many readers will dip into it; lose interest; and let it gather dust on the shelf.

Summary: excellent self-improvement guide, won't work for everyone.

Title : The Life You Were Born to Live: Finding Your Life Purpose
Author : Dan Millman
Rating : 5 Stars out of 5.
Summary : When the time comes, you'll see exactly how accurate it is!!

This book was recommended recently by a friend in Sidney, I borrowed it and couldn't put it down. Somehow it was a best seller over there and it took me a couple of weeks to get hold off my own copy!

I can just say that I completely agree with the statements of "A reader from Nashville", "Joy", "Leila" "A reader from New Zealand"!

Although I'm a sceptic mostly, I'm a firm believer that numerology is of the - if not the - most accurate way of describing the path etc. of a person. Dan M.'s book is based on the life path aspects of numerology with some differences, such as "adding" "10" "12" numbers. It is still uncanny how accurate it was in depicting my number (I couldn't say if it's exactly as accurate as numerology, or even slightly more so!) and I'm convinced that "J. Balbirnie" will see exactly what I mean when the time comes. Dan M. says himself at the end of his book, that one reader wrote to him, first thinking his book was rubbish, it however ended up making a lot of sense to him a few years down the path!

Excellent reading, I highly recommend it!
